Credentials and Accolades

Conditions We Treat

Prostatitis

Prostatitis often causes painful or difficult urination (initiating stream, weak stream, dribbling). Other symptoms include pain in the groin, pelvic area or genitals and sometimes flu-like symptoms, fatigue.

Post Prostatectomy

Helping men regain control and confidence after prostate surgery, shockwave therapy targets pelvic floor dysfunction to restore function and improve quality of life.

Chronic Pelvic Pain

Pelvic Pain Syndrome: Also known as chronic prostatitis, this condition involves pain in the pelvic region, including the genitals, rectum, and lower back. Pelvic floor therapy can help release tight muscles and reduce inflammation.
Muscle Tension and Trigger Points: Tight pelvic floor muscles can cause chronic pain. Pelvic floor therapy helps relax and lengthen these muscles to relieve pain.

Erectile Dysfunction

Weak pelvic floor muscles can contribute to erectile dysfunction. Pelvic floor exercises can improve blood flow and strengthen the muscles that support erections, enhancing sexual function.

Pudendal Neuralgia

This nerve disorder causes pain or discomfort in the pelvic area, which can be managed by targeting the pelvic floor muscles and alleviating pressure on the pudendal nerve.

Constipation

In fact, every year more than 2.5 million people visit their doctors to seek treatment for constipation in the United States alone.

Urinary Incontinence

Post-Prostate Surgery: Men who have undergone prostate surgery, particularly a prostatectomy, often experience urinary incontinence. Pelvic floor therapy can help them regain control of bladder function. Overactive Bladder: This condition causes a frequent need to urinate, which can be alleviated through strengthening and retraining the pelvic floor muscles.

Post-Urinary or Bowel Dysfunction

Fecal Incontinence or Constipation: Issues like constipation or fecal incontinence can arise from weak or overly tight pelvic floor muscles. Therapy helps restore balance and control for normal bowel function.

Pelvic Floor Weakness from Aging

As men age, their pelvic floor muscles naturally weaken, which can lead to issues like bladder leakage or decreased sexual performance. Pelvic floor therapy helps counteract the effects of aging. Pelvic floor therapy can significantly improve quality of life for men experiencing these conditions by focusing on strengthening, retraining, and relaxing the muscles in the pelvic area.

Improve Sexual Health & Control

Pelvic floor therapy for men can enhance sexual health by strengthening the muscles that control ejaculation, erectile function, and conditions like hard flaccid. Targeted exercises, such as Kegels, improve control over premature ejaculation, support better erectile function, and alleviate pelvic discomfort.

Pelvic health physical therapy can address muscle imbalances, improve blood flow, and relieve sexual dysfunction.

Testimonials From Our Male Clientele

Zarina is the expert for male pelvic floor issues in New Jersey. She was able to answer questions I had which my doctors totally missed. Her office makes physical therapy comfortable and with her expertise I know I am at the right place. You cannot go wrong if you're a guy looking for Pelvic Health therapy.

After having a prostatectomy, I had a difficult time finding pelvic floor therapy for men in my local area. My urologist recommended the Pelvic Health Center. The staff is very friendly and treat you like family. All of the appointments are one on one for a whole hour and not like other physical therapy facilities, where they juggle several patients at a time.

I highly recommend the Pelvic Health Center. All of the therapists and staff are very qualified and friendly. In addition, they listen and address your issues. This therapy is worth the 45-minute ride.

I feel good vibes here and always leave feeling upbeat. The Pelvic Health Center was recommended by my urologist, and I equally would recommend them. My only regret is that I did not come here for therapy before my surgery.

Zarina, your expertise and skills are unique. After a few sessions, my lower back pain was gone; thank you!

Zarina is incredible and so are her team. So much care, so much knowledge. She’s the only one who helps the pain I go through and I’m lucky to have found her and her practice.

I had prostate surgery and did not get the proper relief in my recovery until I started getting pelvic therapy here. It has helped with my prostate recovery but also with my total body physical rejuvenation and recalibration. The therapists who handle me have been the best I have experienced. Highly recommended.

To add to my first review: I am a 90 year old male who has had quadruple bypass open heart surgery at 60 as well as multiple stints and valve repairs. In addition, I developed a BPH and suffered for many years until doctors decided to operate on my prostate. Following this surgery, my urologist recommended this pelvic therapy group. My recovery has been facilitated greatly and I am improving daily. If not for this therapy, I would be a bedridden invalid. The therapists are extremely capable and know exactly what therapeutic measures must be taken for my specific case. I have worked with therapist Shannon from day 1, and have achieved tremendous progress in my recovery with her help.

Been dealing with urethral spasming and pelvic floor issues after my Prostatitis, and as a guy, this can really make life miserable with difficulty going about my daily life including work. Was introduced to Zarina and she completely turned me around. She knew which muscles “up there” did what and how they affect this and that and what symptoms they cause. I was thinking I’ve never heard of these issues happening to Men. And that nobody else has either. And when she asked me if I was experiencing these certain symptoms, 4 tons of stress lifted off my shoulders. Not only did she give me hope, she turned everything around giving me a normal life. I thank God everyday for Zarina.

I am a male that has been dealing with pelvic floor dysfunction going on 3 years now. After dishing out a bunch money on pelvic floor therapy for years with no progress, I finally found Zarina. I can honestly say that for the first time in the past 3 years I finally feel a noticeable difference physically and have an optimistic outlook that I will get better. Zarina has a completely different approach to treatment than the other 4 therapists I have visited before and she is so good that I willingly travel 2 HOURS for her therapy every week. She does an amazing job at making you feel comfortable and the treatment session is somehow not awkward AT ALL. I love how she describes what she is doing during the treatment in depth and also listens and adjusts when you describe your symptoms. Pelvic floor dysfunction was running my entire life; it was the only thing I thought about 24/7 and it became debilitating. I am not at 100% yet, but I am making consistent progress, my mental health is improving, and I am moving forward in life once again. Zarina is a guru, I truly can’t thank her enough! 10/10 recommend.

All of the therapists here are extremely professional and work in their respective areas with the utmost care. The environment is very upbeat and the team goes out of their way to ensure that it remains that way. Results are what matters, and they are usually favorable to all patients.

The Pelvic Health Center brings new meaning to the words "Physical Therapy.:
It's not just therapy of muscles and tendons. The Center addresses diet and emotional therapy. They are involved with addressing the health of whole body and ones mind set. They are Life Style Coaches.
And unlike many Physicians, THEY LISTEN to their patients!

I am a current patient of Aimee. As a PT myself, I would 100% recommend this clinic for any and all PT treatment (particularly pelvic floor issues). Sessions are all 1 to 1 held in private rooms, as well as there being a community gym area. Pelvic floor health (and especially for males) isn't discussed enough even amongst the PT community itself and it's a blessing to have access to a dedicated pelvic health clinic locally. I'm about 3 months into treatment and am feeling so much better. Wish Google could give 10 stars for y'all
